What being a BUILD student means to you
Build students get the traditional robust engineering theoretical education.
In addition, you will learn what it is to practice engineering. This means you’ll work in multidisciplinary teams. You will learn and practice the art - and it is an art - of developing, building, testing, and improving your creation. You’ll learn how to develop product concepts, hold design reviews to improve your concepts and designs, create an engineering model to prove the concept to your technical team, create a prototype to convince your marketing team, and create a first article to work with your manufacturing team. You’ll have things manufactured and you’ll do it well because you will understand the entire product cycle and know how to communicate with everyone. You will be networked from day one.
Here’s what your first class looks like.
You will come out of school ready to work productively immediately after graduation. Employers know this!
